Workflow is a term attached to the process of a task, the steps required to go from start to finish. This term is not limited to design, but in the design world it can be applied to different processes, from creating a logo to digitally retouching a batch of photos. Ten designers can start with a blank sheet of paper or folder of photos and come up with a new logo or a folder of retouched photos, but they can accomplish this in up to ten different ways.

Workflow is thus often a subjective topic, though through discussion of workflow different tips, tricks, shortcuts, processes, experiences, and optimizations can objectively lead to faster or better results.
