There are no short cut way to remove background and drop photo onto white background if you wanna make professional your image editing, in Photoshop here is a so much easiest way to cut out your photo and replace background with pure white background but the edge of photo not defined well or smooth to get 100% business quality of course you have to draw manually photoshop clipping path and then your image border will be perfect sometimes it's impossible to draw clipping path for your photo for its complexity such as for hair or like this, then you should to mask your images it can be Channel Masking or knockout masking, or eraser masking etc, here I am going to provide so tutorial link by which you will able to remove any kind of image background and then replace onto a white background.

If you have fireworks, you could use it to convert this image to alpha (filter > other > convert to alpha - it works similar to multiplay, but actually converts the white pixels to permanent transparency).

Then bring the alpha channel back into photoshop which you could then mask over the original image. You will need to play with the levels to keep the black parts fully solid.

You would then be left with the black parts of the image. Use a brush to brush back in the white middle part of the image.

Below is a really rough copy, you'll need to really play with the brush settings to get it right.
